• Suzanne authored legislation to help small businesses and community colleges collaborate and provide job training to get Americans back to work.
• She cosponsored the Small Business Lending Enhancement Act to help small businesses get resources they need to grow and thrive.
• As a State Senator, Suzanne passed legislation to help small businesses get loans to keep and create jobs.

Standing Up for Families, Seniors, and Consumers 
Suzanne worked her way through community college, college, and law school. Now she works for us.

• At the Federal Trade Commission, Suzanne held mortgage companies accountable for dishonest practices.
• In the Oregon Legislature, she stopped predatory payday lenders and life insurance scams targeting seniors.
• As our Congresswoman, Suzanne stands up for seniors and the middle class, fighting for a budget that preserves Medicare and a safety net.

Reducing the Debt with the Right Priorities
On the House Budget Committee, Suzanne will tackle the debt the right way.

• End the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy instead of making seniors, veterans, and middle class families pay for a financial crisis they didn’t cause.
• Stop tax giveaways for big oil and big agriculture companies and invest in education and job training.
