Fighting for What's Important
Vicki understands that Oregon families are feeling squeezed by the high costs of gas, groceries and health care. She will work to protect the family budget.
Stable School Funding
Vicki helped create the state's Rainy Day Fund and the Education Stability Fund to protect schools and essential services during economic downturns. As a former school board member, she understands the need to get more money to classroom programs and will ensure it is a priority.
Keeping Our Families Safe
Vicki fought for more state troopers on our roads and highways and to create mandatory minimum sentences for sex offenders and pedophiles. She also helped pass legislation to crack down on crime and identity theft by requiring proof of legal residency for those seeking driver's licenses.
A Clean Environment & Renewable Energy
Vicki led the fight to reduce litter and increase recycling by expanding Oregon's Bottle Bill to include a deposit on plastic water bottles. She is also working to ensure that more of our energy comes from renewable resources like wind and solar power to decrease our dependence on fossil fuels.
