I was appointed by two Governors to serve on and to chair the State Board of Education for 10 years, and to serve on the State Quality Education Commission for an additional 3 years. This hands-on Governmental experience in Salem will enable me to be immediately effective as your Representative in dealing with the issues that are most important to us here on the Coast. I will look to promote good legislation for the Coast, and to protect us from bad legislation.

I know that my greatest allies and best advisors will be you, the people of the 9th District. Together WE can make our District stronger……………

FINANCIALLY by attracting new businesses and the jobs they provide;
ENVIRONMENTALLY by replacing junk science and misplaced emotion with quality hard science when making decisions;
