Tina Fights for Jobs
Tina understands families are struggling to make ends meet. That’s why she supported new loans and grants to small businesses and advocated for including electric vehicle parts manufacturing in tax credits to help local businesses. She stood up for funding college grants because education is key to jobs in the new economy.
Tina Fights for Working Families
Tina fought successfully to protect Oregonians’ rights in the workplace, like opting out of coercive meetings on matters of personal belief without fear of retaliation. She prohibited employers from discriminating against job applicants based on their credit history.
Tina Fights for Healthy Communities
Tina led the fight to expand health insurance to all children and lower the cost of healthcare. She extended healthcare to youth aging out of foster care and focused on providing vision screenings in schools so all children can succeed.
Tina Fights for North and Northeast Portland
Because livable neighborhoods are a top priority, Tina cracked down on the sale of stolen catalytic converters. She worked to find new ways to handle problem bars. And she continues to advocate for the North Portland Greenway trail for safer bike commuting.
