    Personal: Ron was born and raised in Dallas. His family background in Polk County goes back to the turn of the century. Polk County has always been and always will be his home. Wife June

    + A much improved criminal justice system

    + Cooperation and teamwork with fellow commissioners

    + Helped organize a temporary shelter program for homeless sex offenders

    + Sound land use policy; protection of farm and forest resource lands

    + Numerous upgrades at the Rickreall fairgrounds

    + Federal money to renovate the Ritner Creek Covered Bridge

    + Best County road system in the state of Oregon

    + Member of the Polk County Drug Court Team
