Serving Polk County Sheriff's Office Criminal Patrol Division as deputy sheriff, corporal, sergeant, lieutenant, Patrol Commander, Corrections Division lieutenant and Jail Commander, and Sheriff.

Prior Governmental Experience: Thirty-two years of experience in the Criminal Justice System of Polk County. This includes working all areas of Law Enforcement, Corrections, Civil, Emergency Management and Administrative Services. Twenty-seven years of supervisory and senior management experience. Career experience coordinating with the Polk County Courts, District Attorney Office, Probation and Parole staff and other local government and city service providers affiliated with the Criminal Justice System. Various experience in the coordination of multi-agency operations in Federal, State, County and City agencies to provide cooperative services and investigations.
