What happened to Oregon?
The people of Oregon are the greatest resource we have, yet our leaders:
*Have worked to save the farm land but not the farmers;
*Have worked to save the forest but not the loggers;
*Have worked to save the salmon but not the fishermenOur current legislators have failed us and are out of control. In the last four years they have increased the budget 46%. In the midst of these tough economic times, their solutions all involved partisan, political bickering, higher taxes, increased fees, and further regulations on businesses and citizens alike. Despite record unemployment, they have created a climate where more businesses are leaving, rather than investing in Oregon's future.
I, like many of the new candidates running for office, are not politicians; but everyday folks who are simply fed up with the current state of affairs and want to see our State flourish instead of flounder.
I will ensure our core functions of government are funded first, and ensure that we are getting our money's worth from every program. I will cut wasteful spending, act independently, and not be beholden to special interests. I will serve with distinction and fight vigorously to protect not only your rights but also to create a business climate where jobs will grow. It is with this pledge that I humbly ask for your vote.
