As a business owner and Mayor, I am grateful for any revenue that comes in and I diligently look for ways to save money: let's instill that attitude in Salem!

We face the most serious financial crisis this State has seen in decades. Thousands are unemployed, many more are struggling, and some have lost their homes. Plummeting home prices, businesses leaving the State, and others simply closing their doors are an every-day occurrence. Worse, an ever-increasing tax and fee burden are only serving to prolong this recession.

I am running because I know we can balance our budget, take care of the most vulnerable, and fund our core services without asking for new taxes. I know we can find creative ways to fund our police, fire, schools and health services without increasing the burden our citizens and businesses are already facing.

I pledge to do what is best for Oregon and Oregonians regardless of party politics.

I will lead the fight to find tangible solutions to these and many more problems our State is facing

I humbly ask for your vote.
