Educational Background: Central High School Class of 1973; Oregon College of Education from 1973 – 1977; Western Oregon University 2009 to present.

Community Involvement:

Central High School Bond Key Communicator Committee; Vice President of The Gate Youth Association; Y.M.C.A. Volunteer; Central High School Panther Club (Member, past president, auction chair, auction mc); M.I.K.I. and C.Y.S. Volunteer; Central FFA Volunteer; Public Address Announcer for Central High School Athletics.


Mike has lived in the Independence-Monmouth area for the past 52 years. In 2007, he was humbled to receive the Monmouth/Independence Chamber of Commerce Distinguished Service Award.

Dear Residents of Polk County,

The time for change is now. Together, with your help, we can continue to make Polk County a great place to live. Seeking new businesses and industries for Polk County to assure opportunities for employment, along with public safety, will be my top priorities.
