Changing Party Affiliation
You may change, terminate or adopt a party affiliation at any time, with one exception (see below), by updating your registration information either in person or by mail.

Exception
You cannot change, terminate or adopt a political party affiliation if you are updating your registration in the 20 day period before a Primary Election. Postmarks do not count. Your updated registration must be turned in by the 21st day before the Primary Election.
