Possible Reasons for Not Receiving a Ballot
- The ballots have not been mailed yet. Ballots are normally mailed 14 to 18 days before an election. It will normally take two days for delivery.
- You have moved and have not updated your information.
- You are on the “inactive” list and you need to update your information.
- The post office will not forward your ballot.
The post office will not “hold” your ballot. If you are going to be gone in the weeks or days prior to an election you should request an absentee ballot if you are going to have the post office hold your mail.
Absentee ballots are available 45 days prior to the day of the election.
