Absentee Voters

You may apply for absentee voter status if you live out of state or if you know that you will be absent for an election you wish to vote in (for example, you plan to be out of town prior to the election you wish to vote in and are going to put your mail on hold with the post office).

To apply for absentee voter status:

  • Obtain an absentee voter application from your County Elections Office
  • Fill out the application and return it to your County Elections Office in person, via US mail or fax

The application will remain valid for every subsequent election until you notify your County Elections Official or you move out of the county.
